This release featured two songs not on the original release including the very heavy Black Cat Claw. Guitar driven band playing a garage Black Sabbath/Blues sound. Recently re-issued on the Akarma label with two songs missing.

Unreleased material by this Austin, Texas band that was recorded in 1969 at Sonobeat Studios which was famous for recording Mariani (Eric Johnson) and Johnny Winters first LP. In the 13th Floor Elevator style led by Bill Miller on electric autoharp. Bill later bcame a main member of Roky Ericksons Aliens band. Songs are very psychedelic and drug induced with cuts like Ra-Ma, South Texas, Twisted Flower, Here In The Year plus more. Comes with color photo of the band on stage and insert.

Another local Dallas band, these guys sound like a cross between Pink Floyd and the Butthole Surfers. Distorted vocals that became all the rage some 5 years later. Songs include Woody, More Pie, Midnight Juice, Succubus plus more. 300 copies have the naked woman in the bathtub cover while the band made a special holographic cover for their 100 copies. Both are hard to find these days.

Just great stuff, wish I heard more of these gems, but love the ones I have.
Hickory Wind need reissue in proper way too. Smokin Willie 72 is way cool too.
Heard Stone Gardens guitarist is still alive and plays, should ask if they have Live stuff from that monster heavy era, that would kill.
Iota was a disapointment though…Heavy yes But songwriting not up to scratch to say. Theres loads of this generic Heavypsych outhere released by shithouse European RE labels.
